The Cottage

Llwyn Derw Sleeps 10 people including children and infant in 5 bedrooms (4 upstairs ensuite bedrooms, and a ground floor double room with separate small shower room).

The cottage is located on the Wales Coastal Path, close to Barmouth and Harlech, and surrounded by the Snowdonia National park. It is fortunate enough to enjoy breath-taking views of the sea to the back of the property and nearby mountains such as the Rhinog Mountains to the front.

Llwyn Derw is the ideal base for your group holiday with family or friends. An ideal location close to many local attractions.

The property has a rich and varied history. Until 2017, as well as being the family home, it was also a busy bed & breakfast, a popular restaurant seating up to 45 people, and a small takeaway fish and chip shop. Local visitors would come up to the window of the fish and chip shop, waiting to be served out of a separate, small kitchen (which is now the property’s utility room!).

Lovingly tended to gardens surround the property and provide an outdoor space to relax amongst the beautiful flowers and views. A lawned area provides a place to play, and a patio area with charcoal BBQ offers a great space to dine during the warmer days and evenings. We recommend that small children are accompanied outside due to the steps from the patio and the small fenced pond.

Inside the property, you will find plenty of spaces to fit your every need. The large living room is perfect for getting together as a group. The 50” smart TV and wide selection of DVDs are perfect for a family movie night! We also have a selection of board games for you to explore.

For the young (or young at heart!) the cosy snug provides a television, Xbox One and a small selection of Xbox games for you to enjoy.

If you want a space to escape and relax, the light filled conservatory has been newly renovated and overlooks the garden and surrounding area. Here you will find more seating, a dining table and electric fire, wonderful all year round.
